An educational anti-corruption platform for students and teachers — quizzes, dilemma games and teaching materials

Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania (STT)

This project was created and delivered as a unique Daisoras-built solution designed to bring anti-corruption education, interactive learning, teachers’ working tools and content administration together in a single system.

“Skaidrumo ženklelis” (“The Transparency Badge”) is more than an informational website. We built a dedicated educational learning platform where students can take quizzes and play dilemma games individually or in groups, earn transparency badges, and where teachers can create rooms, run group sessions, share their own teaching materials, receive feedback and see participants’ results. The main goal was a system that works not only on the visitor’s side, but also automates everything behind the scenes: from content administration and moderating group work to real-time room management, results statistics and generating badges for completed quizzes.

A platform built not just to publish content, but to manage the entire educational process.

“Skaidrumo ženklelis” is not a typical institutional website. We built this platform from scratch to STT’s anti-corruption education brief – proposing the architecture, the website design and the Skaidrius character, then programming, testing and deploying it. The system combines students’ independent learning, group work in the classroom (solving quizzes and dilemmas in rooms created specifically for classes), a methodological space for teachers to share materials, and administration processes. The solution covers the entire journey: from choosing a topic to completing a quiz or dilemma, reviewing results, awarding a transparency badge and running a teacher-led classroom session.

It’s a platform designed not only for easy browsing, but for teachers’ work with their students.

Features covering the entire student, teacher and administration journey

Quizzes with theory, answers and a transparency badge for the result.

The student side features a bespoke quiz engine built for anti-corruption education. Users can take quizzes on their own or be invited into a room created by a teacher. Questions appear one at a time, with an expandable theory section to read alongside, and questions and answers can be presented as text, images or audio and video. The system tallies points as the quiz is taken and, at the end, shows a results overview and automatically assigns a transparency badge based on performance – diamond, gold, silver or bronze – or suggests exploring the topic in more depth to earn one. The badge can be downloaded as a PDF.

A dilemma game for discussing different scenarios

The platform features interactive dilemmas with an introduction, answer options, anonymous statistics and an expert’s comment. A user working alone immediately sees how others assessed the situation. In a group, the teacher runs a session in a dedicated room: participants join with a code, choose an answer, and the moderator watches the results, guides the discussion and controls what happens next.

Rooms that work in real time

A teacher can create a quiz and/or dilemma room, assign tasks, set a time limit and receive a unique room code. Students join with a name or nickname, and the session runs synchronously: the teacher starts, pauses or ends the tasks and sees participants and their results. It all works as one system — from creating the room to presenting the group’s results.

Teacher accounts and teaching materials

Registered teachers can create and publish methods, assign topics, classes, duration and subjects, upload files, mark favourites, leave reviews and download a method description as a PDF. Content is only published once an administrator approves it, and the teaching community can share its theory and practice with colleagues.

User accounts and access

The system supports registration, sign-in by email or Google, password recovery, profile management and account deletion. Unused accounts are removed automatically after a set period, and students can still use publicly available content without registering.

The admin environment and process automation

Tools built on the admin side make it possible to create and edit quizzes, dilemmas, topics and methods without any coding knowledge. Editors control the order of questions, answer types, theory, the assignment of the Skaidrius character and content publishing. The system automates room sessions, results statistics, badge assignment, method approval and data export for analysis.

The platform gave the client (STT) the ability not only to refresh a public educational tool with new content, but to independently and efficiently create and upload new quizzes, dilemmas and other content for students, the teaching community, specialists and others.

Daisoras’ contribution

Daisoras built the project from architecture through to final delivery and launch. The biggest challenge wasn’t the individual features, but how they connect to one another: how an independently taken quiz links to a group room, how dilemma statistics stay anonymous, how a teacher’s method moves through the approval cycle and how a real-time session ties into the ongoing learning process in the classroom.

So the whole system was designed as a single educational tool that brings together learning, teachers’ work and content administration across different user roles.

The result

The outcome is a one-of-a-kind anti-corruption education platform that unites quizzes, dilemma games, the generation of different transparency badges based on results, teacher rooms, teaching materials and content management in a single system. And tying it all together is a fun, custom-designed character – Skaidrius.

Skaidrius, blue

This project shows how a custom-built platform can become not just a channel for information, but a systematic foundation for an entire educational service – helping to educate students as they work through tasks individually or in groups, analyse results and share teaching materials.
